So, here's the red halterneck dress I made last summer. Sorry, we didn't get a good photo of the back, but you get the idea.

Wow, it really has been some time since I last wrote anything. But this is going to change, I promise! I have big plans for this year - I might launch my own webstore for clothing and such. Wish me luck!
I do have some personal sewing projects. At the moment I'm creating a basic pattern for pants for myself, because I've found it almost impossible to find fitting pants in stores.
Looks like I also completely forgot to post my red dance party dress here. I made it last summer, for one of the We Love Helsinki dances. Maybe I should take pictures tomorrow.

RIGHT! I need to get this blog going again. :D
I finished this hoodie (long ago). I promise I'll take a better picture this weekend.
How to make a boring grey hoodie a bit less boring? Just Add Lace:

I also bought a second bag from the wonderful Tago Design. I wanted something more suitable for everyday wear. I'm afraid the pink kitty bag would get horribly dirty if I carried it around. (Better picture coming up this weekend.)

Honestly I could buy off all of her bags if I had the money. O.O

Sewing plans include:
- Simple, close-fitting cocoon dress with a slightly flared skirt. Preferable materials tweed or maybe some nice velvet.
- Black dress pants. I can't find these from stores: my body type is just too funny (I'm otherwise skinny but my hips are wide).
- Black skirt with that lovely 50's style flared hem.

Finally they are here! I ordered a pair of shoes from Schuh in... February? They were out of stock then, and I decided to wait for the restock. Well, it was in May and I received my shoes. They were faulty, though: there was an ugly scratch on one of them. So I returned them and yesterday I received a new pair. A long, long wait, but they are definitely worth it!

I haven't had time to sew anything lately... I have one project underway, but I just need time! (I bought a hoodie and it was way too tight on the hips - for some reason they had added a really tight elastic band on it. I've removed it and I'm thinking of adding some lace along the seams to make this boring, grey hoodie a bit more interesting and girly.)

This is a bit unfinished, but I took a picture anyway:

A simple cocoon dress. I found that fabric on a online store and it was a "must have" thing. There is a slight problem with the zipper, I'll have to do it over again...
There's still enough fabric for a second dress. Will I do a dress, a skirt, what?

My classmate took a picture of me with my cute ribbon dress!
Now I'm going to start making that coat. I ended up buying natural white wool fabric, really soft and wonderful. I found it on a nice, small fabric store called Matan kangas. I also recently bought some rose-shaped Venice lace online, so I'm going to add that on sleeves etc.

I bought a cute bag from DaWanda:

Now I want to find a fabric that's in same colour as this and make a dress. Perhaps with black details, like black ribbon or a black underskirt that shows just a little bit...
...Wait a minute, am I really planning on making a pink dress for myself? Have I gone completely insane with school stress? :P

Oh, damn the people who created Etsy... It's a place where all kinds of artisans can sell the things they've made. Some of the things that are for sale are not very impressive quality-wise, but there's enough pretty jewelry, for example, to make you quickly run out of money... :P
I bought these (piercings and a necklace):
Lately I've fallen in love with all things decorated with roses and lace (as you might notice from the name of this blog). And wide, flared hems! Here's a simple dress I made:
Though I made a slight mistake when I was drawing the pattern. I was going to make an ordinary, full-circle skirt for it. Then I counted wrong and added a measure almost double the amount needed. Well, now no-one can say it's not wide enough! I thought about making a tulle underskirt, but it turned into a disaster pretty quickly and now it's in my closet waiting for the day I'm going to take it apart and do it over again.
For some time now I've been annoyed by the fact that I don't have a winter coat that can be worn over a skirt - a skirt like those I like to wear, with wide, flowing hems. My current winter coat looks more like a box than a proper garment for a fine lady. So, I decided I'll make one for myself. Something like this, though without a belt:
